Director of IT

Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT director with hands-on experience to oversee all IT operations in our organization and provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. You'll be responsible for managing employees within the IT department, liaising with other departments to ascertain their technological requirements, including external IT vendors and service providers, and developing solutions aligned with the organization's objectives.

IT Director Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all IT operations leads the development and implementation processes for the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and department.

  • Subject matter expert of inertia enterprise platform built on a monolithic architecture. Access technology state by formulating digital modernization of culture and processes

  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to critical business operations in the event of emergencies or data loss.

  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure. Re-alignment requirements associated with implementing cloud services product set and network infrastructure (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).

  • Excellent understanding and technical knowledge of network and client operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards, such as Windows OS, cloud platforms like O365, Azure/AWS, and standard desktop productivity software solutions.

  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.

  • Oversee IT network and systems security. Facilitates security audits by identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and implement ITIL best practices adhering to regulatory and CA Compliance. Provide strategies for simplifying the data framework.

  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Ensure OpEx/CapEx forecasts align with the organization plan and make changes as needed to meet company and department financial objectives.

  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including technical staff and support services, ensuring reported issues are resolved promptly.

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects aligned with organizational objectives by proposing strategic solutions and recommending solutions that will enhance operational efficiencies.

  • Identifies and facilitates training and professional development opportunities for staff to support skill development.

IT Director Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

  • At least ten years of management experience in an IT environment.

Junior Estimator

Summary

Estimating is an integral part of the Electrical Construction process. A Junior Estimator assists in gathering, calculating and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates for one or more discipline areas and provides defined estimating services on both small and large, complex work. Accurate estimation ensures SASCO’s competitiveness, profitability and growth. Incumbents must have some relative experience in the electrical industry that can be applied to this position and be self-starters with focus and a commitment to ensuring SASCO’s standard of excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Calculate various statistical data - quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, equipment, etc.

  • Participate in developing project update and bid package estimate documents.

  • Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures.

  • Assist in the entry of take-off into a computerized estimating software system.

  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction or related field desirable but not essential.

  • Electrical contracting and estimating

  • The candidate shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills, shall be energetic and a self-starter.

Sr. Electrical Estimator

Job Duties:

  • Preparation of complete labor and material estimates for large commercial electrical projects.

  • Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.

  • Data Entry

  • Close coordination with Project Management.

  • Additional duties as determined by Chief Estimator

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction or related field desirable but not essential

  • 10+ yrs experience with large (3 million +) electrical construction projects and/or estimates.

  • Depth of knowledge with a wide variety electrical materials and methods of installation.

  • Strong Organizational and Leadership skills.

  • Take direction from Sr. engineers and/or group Presidents and Executives to research drawings, catalogs, sketches, etc., to develop detailed dimensioned drawings.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years REVIT experience

  • Basic understanding of how AutoCAD works
