SASCO SAFETY TRAINING

Management Commitment
In safety, as in all areas, management within SASCO is expected to lead by example. All members of management and supervision are charged with identifying, correcting, and preventing unsafe acts and/or conditions that could lead to occupational injuries or illnesses. In addition, we employ full-time safety professionals dedicated to managing and guiding our program.

Supervisors are responsible for supporting and encouraging their employees to participate in activities that contribute to the continuous safety improvements.

Employee Involvement and Participation
Each employee has an important role in this program, and everyone is committed to join together and make SASCO a successful, accident-free, and healthy place to work.

Employees are responsible for participating in safety activities such as safety meetings, safety education, and training activities, identifying and correcting a hazardous situation. Additionally, SASCO actively encourages employee feedback to continually improve our safety efforts.

New Employee Safety Orientation
All newly assigned or re-assigned employees are provided with safety orientation. The Foreman conducts a job-specific orientation at the job site. The employee acknowledges the orientation by signing the SASCO Orientation Checklist.

Foremen Training
Education and training are the cornerstones of our safety program. All Foremen attend a formal monthly safety meeting. At this office meeting, our Foremen and safety department discuss any concerns and topics of interest as well outside agency presentations on new equipment, regulations, and safety procedures.
